Dr Peter TraynorSenior Research Assistant
Peter joined PERU in November 2017 as Senior Research Assistant, and has since worked on a range of projects including the development of a new website on reducing reoffending, rapid impact evaluations on personalisation and co-production, and a survey on prisoner engagement in the arts.
Peter has been a social researcher in a range of fields since 2001. In the last ten years or so, he has focused on matters related to criminal justice, and has worked on projects related to homelessness, drug and alcohol use and anti-social behaviour. In 2017 he graduated with a PhD in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Leeds; his thesis focused on knife carrying and crime, and he has recently been involved in a Home Office consultation on knife crime.
