Aleksandra Szymczyk


Aleksandra joined PERU as a Research Associate in October 2018. She is currently working on the European Cohort Development Project (ECDP). This will create the specification and business case for a European Research Infrastructure, providing comparative longitudinal data on child and youth well-being over the next 25 years.


Aleksandra completed her BSc in Psychology at the University of East Anglia in 2016 and her MA in Social Anthropology at the University of Manchester in 2017. During her undergraduate studies she worked as a Research Infrastructure Intern at the UEA School of Psychology, where she helped to develop existing research infrastructures, including ethics applications systems, research funding databases and research participant recruitment. Before joining PERU she worked in the Planning, Compliance and Special Projects Team at the University of Manchester, where she was involved in a number of projects, including Student Experience Action Plans and the Manchester Engineering Campus Development Project.
